Red Robin Gourami

Appearance:

• Slender, elongated body reaching up to 2.5 inches (6 cm) in length
• Bright red body with a metallic sheen, becoming darker towards the tail
• Transparent fins with a reddish-orange tint
• Forked caudal fin
• Small, pointed mouth
• Males are slightly larger and more intensely colored than females

Behavior:

• Peaceful and relatively shy: Prefers the company of other peaceful fish or its own species.
• Active swimmers: Enjoy exploring all levels of the tank, particularly the mid-water and upper regions.
• Surface air breathers: Possess labyrinth organs that allow them to breathe air from the surface.
• Omnivorous: Feed on a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, live food, and vegetables.
