Rosy Barb Longfin

Appearance:

• Slender, streamlined body reaching up to 3 inches (7 cm) in length
• Silvery or coppery-pink body with a green cast along the back
• Males have a more intense pink coloration, especially on the belly
• Elongated, flowing dorsal and anal fins, twice the length of the body in males
• Forked caudal fin
• Small, pointed mouth

Behavior:

• Peaceful and schooling: Do best in groups of 6 or more.
• Active swimmers: Enjoy exploring all levels of the tank.
• Relatively hardy and undemanding: Adaptable to a range of water parameters.
• Omnivorous: Feed on a variety of foods, including flakes, pellets, brine shrimp, and bloodworms.

Care requirements:

• Established freshwater aquarium (minimum 20 gallons for a small school)
• Stable water parameters:
  • Temperature: 72-82°F (22-28°C)
  • pH: 6.0-8.0
  • Hardness: Soft to moderately hard water
• High water quality with filtration and regular water changes
• Planted aquarium with plenty of open swimming space
• Varied diet
